Spectrum Contract Renegotiation – Expanded Services & No HOA Fee Increase for 2027

We are pleased to announce that the HOA Board has renegotiated our contract with Spectrum for bulk TV and broadband services. Spectrum TV and Internet remain included in your quarterly HOA dues. The new agreement significantly reduces our monthly costs while expanding the services available to residents.

Improved Internet Service

Internet speeds have already increased dramatically and are among the fastest available in our area. High-speed broadband and reliable Wi-Fi are no longer just about watching TV. Many residents rely on high-speed internet for work, and nearly all of us now have multiple connected systems—security, HVAC, smart appliances, and other devices—that require a stable Wi-Fi connection. Spectrum provides the broadband infrastructure throughout Feather Sound, and currently no other provider matches its speeds.

Expanded TV and Streaming Services

Our Spectrum TV package has been expanded. Popular streaming services and networks—including Max (formerly HBO Max), Paramount+, Disney+, ESPN, and many others—are now included at no additional cost.
These streaming services can be accessed through your existing Spectrum cable box. Residents may also upgrade to a Xumo streaming box at no charge. The Xumo box is much smaller than a traditional cable box, features a voice-activated remote, and is easier to use with streaming apps. Most programs are available on demand, and live events can be recorded using Spectrum’s cloud-based DVR.

Using a Smart TV

Many newer televisions are “smart TVs” with built-in Wi-Fi (Roku, Fire TV, and other platforms). Compatible smart TVs do not require a traditional cable box or Xumo box. You can simply connect your TV to Spectrum’s service via Wi-Fi and access available programming and streaming apps directly.

Getting Started
As with any new technology, there may be a learning curve. Spectrum will provide written and video instructions for new equipment. Residents can also contact Spectrum by phone or online chat for help ordering equipment or learning how to use the new features.

Financial Benefit to the Community

This renegotiation provides a substantial financial benefit to the HOA along with expanded services for residents. Together with the Board’s ongoing fiscal discipline, the new contract has enabled us to significantly grow our reserve funds and invest in community infrastructure while keeping costs under control.
As a result, there will be no HOA fee increase for 2027—the second consecutive year without an increase.
